Privacy Policy – Free SEO Tools | Your Data, Your Privacy

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is our priority. We never store your keywords, URLs, or content. All SEO analysis happens locally in your browser.

At Free SEO Tools, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our SEO analysis tools (keyword research, backlink checking, site audit, rank tracking, content optimization, etc.).

1. No Uploads – Client‑Side Processing

Your data never leaves your device. All operations (keyword density analysis, readability scoring, grammar checking, backlink extraction, etc.) are performed entirely within your browser using JavaScript, WebAssembly, and local processing. We do not upload, store, or transmit your keywords, URLs, content, or any other data to our servers. Once you close the page, all processed data is permanently removed from memory.

For tools that fetch external URLs (e.g., Page Speed Test, Broken Link Checker), we use public CORS proxies to retrieve the page source. These proxies temporarily fetch the HTML, but we do not log or store any data. The fetch is performed solely to analyze the page in your browser.

2. Information We Collect

Because we do not require user accounts or process data on our servers, we collect minimal information:

  • Anonymous usage statistics via Google Analytics (e.g., which tools are used, session duration). No personally identifiable information is collected.
  • Cookies for analytics and advertising (see our Cookies Policy).
  • Local Storage – used to save your preferences (e.g., last used tool settings) on your own device. This data never leaves your browser.

We do not collect your name, email address, IP address (beyond anonymized analytics), or any personal information unless you voluntarily contact us via email.

3. How We Use Your Information

The limited information we collect is used solely to:

  • Improve our tools based on anonymous usage patterns.
  • Display relevant, non‑intrusive advertisements (via Google AdSense) to keep the service free.
  • Respond to inquiries when you contact us via email.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use cookies and local storage to enhance your browsing experience. For detailed information about the cookies we use, their purpose, and how to manage them, please refer to our Cookies Policy.

5. Third‑Party Services

We use the following third‑party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:

  • Google Analytics – collects anonymous usage data. Google Privacy Policy
  • Google AdSense – serves advertisements. Google Privacy Policy
  • LanguageTool API – used for grammar checking. Your text is sent to LanguageTool's free public API; they do not store your data permanently (see their privacy policy). This is optional – you can use grammar checking without it.
  • Datamuse API – used for keyword suggestions and related terms. Queries are sent anonymously; no personal data is collected.

These services may set cookies on your browser. You may opt out of personalized ads via Google Ad Settings.

6. Data Security

Since we never store your keywords or content, the risk of data breach is extremely low. All processing is local and temporary. We use industry‑standard security measures (HTTPS) to protect communication between your browser and our website. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

Our tools are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us, and we will take steps to remove it.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of Free SEO Tools after changes constitute acceptance of the modified policy.

9. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA)

As a global service, we respect your privacy rights. Under applicable laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you have the right to:

  • Request access to any personal data we hold (note: we hold almost none).
  • Request deletion of your data (clear your browser cookies and local storage).
  • Opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ad Settings.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information below.
